The Isle of Man Government is preparing for an application to develop the first offshore windfarm in Manx territorial waters.
Experienced examiners are required to conduct a comprehensive open and transparent examination of the application, and prepare a report with recommendations for the Council of Ministers. The process to be in accordance with the Marine Infrastructure Management Act 2016 and associated Regulations.
The Cabinet Office is inviting applications from examiners experienced in assessing marine infrastructure projects, to include offshore renewable energy generation and submarine cable and pipeline laying and/or with NSIPs experience
Examiners will provide professional advice in establishing the review and examination process to include hearings, public meetings and extensive stakeholder consultation.
The examination period is expected to run between Q2 2025 and Q2 2026, and will be conducted both both on and off the Island,
