Our client is looking for an experienced Planner / Senior Planner / Associate who has ambitions to be part of an established and exciting, innovative and growing independent planning consultancy.
Key Information:
Suitable candidates would be a Chartered Town Planner, Senior Planner or Associate Planner. Experience in Town Panning related role essential – consultancy experience would be beneficial. The ideal candidate will have experience of preparing and managing large scale residential planning applications; and managing multidisciplinary teams of technical consultants; Competitive salary and employee benefits, including discretionary bonus. The Opportunity:
This is a unique opportunity to join an independent planning consultancy with a team of ambitious and driven individuals with the skills and aspirations to mentor and develop young planners. The role will include the following:
- Undertaking site appraisals and providing planning advice to clients.
- Preparing Supporting Planning Statements, other supporting documents, representations to Local Plan consultations.
- Project managing technical consultant teams and developing time management and financial management and invoicing skills.
- Coordinating the submission of a full range of planning applications including full, outline, hybrid, Section 73, Section 96A, discharge of conditions.
- Communicating with other planning professionals, clients, Local Planning Authorities and technical consultants via telephone, emails and meetings.
- Organising and managing community consultation including stakeholder mapping, organising public exhibitions and meetings with key stakeholders, preparing consultation material, attending consultation events, analysing feedback and preparing Statement of Community Involvement reports.
- Supporting senior members of staff with Planning Appeals including drafting Appeal Statements and Documents, attendance of Appeal Hearings / Inquiry’s and correlating submissions to the Planning Inspectorate.
