About the Role

Oxfordshire County Council has a high priority programme of major infrastructure developments for which planning applications are being brought forward.  As part of the council's Development Management team, this post will be responsible for processing planning applications and details pursuant submissions for these developments. 

 

The role will involve related pre-application engagement including preparation of Screening and Scoping Opinions for Environmental Impact Assessment.  There will also be the opportunity to process planning applications for minerals and waste management developments. The role will involve providing guidance, advice and support, as a professional specialist, to colleagues, councillors, applicants and agents and the people of Oxfordshire.

 

About you

You will have an excellent knowledge of relevant planning legislation and policy, a degree or significant experience in Town and Country Planning and at least three years’ experience in development management. You must have the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team both inside and  away from the office.
