My client is looking for an Assistant Planner to join their team in Manchester. They are a leading urban planning firm dedicated to creating sustainable, vibrant communities. With a focus on innovation and collaboration, they work on projects ranging from urban revitalisation to transportation planning, contributing to the growth and development of Manchester and across the UK.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis on various planning projects, including land use, demographics, transportation, and environmental factors.
  • Assist in the preparation of planning reports, presentations, and regulatory documents.
  • Support project managers in coordinating meetings, community engagement activities, and stakeholder consultations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget.
  • Stay informed about relevant planning policies, regulations, and best practices to contribute innovative ideas to projects.  

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Environmental Studies, or related field.
  • Previous experience in planning or related field is preferred but not required. Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in GIS, Microsoft Office Suite, and other planning software is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
