Principal Planning Enforcement Consultant

I am working with a busy Local Authority based in the South East who require an Interim Principal Planning Enforcement Consultant to complete an initial 6 month contract, with the view to extend well beyond this.

My client requires a highly experienced Officer to take over Enforcement cases and effectively manage the process through it’s entirety. You will be fully responsible for investigating alleged breaches of unlawful development and taking formal action and issuing notices if necessary.

As the most senior member of the Enforcement team, you will be required to lead the entire Enforcement department, handling the most complex of cases, representing at the LPA at hearings. Although preferrable, prior management experience isn't required,

Due to the nature of the role, the Council are offering flexible working arrangements. However, with the role carrying management responsibilities, you will be required to be in the office two days a week.

My client has left the rate open at this stage, but depending on your level of experience, they have indicated it will likely fall between £50-£55 an hour.
