Associate / Associate Director - Exeter

They deliver a fantastic variety of projects, often with highly creative elements from architect-led residential schemes through to design and planning for pub chains, boutique hotels, marina developments and the MOD. Our client is looking for a commercially aware Town Planner with full membership of the RTPI to join them in their Devon office (near Exeter), and be a senior member of their award winning team.

You will be joining a friendly and social but also highly professional team, so this role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a cohesive team as well as independently. Due to continued client engagement and repeat business from a number of long-standing clients, there are numerous projects already in the pipeline, so although you will be generating and building your own client base over time, you will be expected to project manage existing work from day one and will have plenty of time to transition and settle into the company.

There is room to progress within the company and you will be recognised and rewarded for your successes. The level of this position is flexible depending on the candidate so you might be an experienced Senior looking for your first Associate role, an experience Associate looking to step up to Associate Director or someone close to or already at Director level who is keen for a new challenge in a fresh environment. You will be responsible for managing a small team but within a company that invests heavily in fantastic office and administrative support and an established senior management team so if you are not an experienced people manager yet, you can hone your skills over time with plenty of support. The key thing is that you show the signs of strong leader, can manage projects and delegate effectively and that you have excellent customer/client facing skills (and of course be a motivated and rather brilliant Town Planner!).

There is a significant salary and benefits package on offer, alongside bespoke planning projects and a positive working environment. The basic salary for this position will fall within the range of £50-70k depending on experience with private medical insurance, pension, flexibility and more thrown into the mix.
