Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a small, busy and growing Planning Consultancy in Wiltshire with the hire of a Town Planner.
Our client was set up by two very experienced Directors and after building up the business and growing the team, there is now a need for an additional Town Planner!
In this role, you will work with a range of clients from national housebuilders and land promoters dealing with major planning applications, to individual householders wanting to bring forward small-scale developments. The project base is 95% residential, or residential-led mixed-use developments so would suit someone with strong residential experience.
Joining the team, you will provide a variety of planning services to your clients that includes developing, submitting, and monitoring planning applications of different scales, strategic planning supporting local authorities with their local plans, land promotion and working on appeals where required. This isn't an exhaustive list of services, you will provide other planning and development-related advice where you are skilled/appropriate.
Requirements to Apply
- A planning or related degree
- MRTPI status or close to submitting
- A suitable level of planning experience from the public or private sector
- Robust working knowledge of the planning system
- Ability to effectively and efficiently complete delegated tasks
- Desire to work with a small business
- Client following/business development experience is advantageous but not essential
Salary / Benefits
- Guide of £28,000 - £35,000pa
