The Company
The client, a national award-winning Town Planning Consultancy, is looking for an Assistant Planner level to join the team in London! The successful candidate will work on various exciting projects such as residential, commercial, leisure and heritage.
Successful candidates will have a RTPI accredited planning degree (or related qualification), and previous planning experience is desirable. You must be proactive, diligent, enthusiastic and client focused, with an eagerness to learn. This role is a great opportunity to gain valuable experience from sector-leading professionals, which will help you grow and progress your career.
The Position of an Assistant Town Planner
The position is for an enthusiastic, assertive, and confident candidate. The successful Assistant Town Planner experienced will have an excellent opportunity to kick-start their career and work on exciting projects. You will be meaningfully engaged in all work streams and an active member of the team. You will be given real challenges and responsibilities to help you develop into a well-rounded planning consultant. With the support of colleagues, you will develop core competencies to help you consolidate your technical skills and confidence as you build your career.

Essential Criteria for the Graduate Town Planner
- Degree or higher in relevant subject.
- Previous consultancy experience, especially work focused on rural and greenbelt projects.
- Understanding of the UK planning system.
- The ability to work as part of a team and be a self-starter working on your own initiative.
- Have strong research, analytical skills, and reporting skills.
- Be proactive and professional individual.
