Job Details
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading build to rent developer in London on the hire of a Senior Planner. This is a permanent position, and the hours are 08:00 - 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 - 15:30 Friday!
This role sits in a team that covers Investment, Development & the Planning Team, which comprise a blend of skillsets and experience including acquisitions, planning and technical development expertise.
The team works together as a high-performing autonomous team, implementing Group Strategy - identification and appraisal of development opportunities, seeking to maximise the conversion of those opportunities into development projects.
The role will assist in the management of the Planning team, and associated Hubs, in negotiating and securing planning permission across the group, to respond to planning queries efficiently and to undertake any other tasks required necessary to achieve the above.
The role would also require the use of specialist town planning experience, skills and knowledge related to the 'residential for rent' tenures.
Salary / Benefits
In return for your commitment and hard work, you will be rewarded with a competitive starting salary (guide of £50,000 - £54,000pa) plus;
- Company Car or Car Allowance: £5,430 per annum (petrol / diesel vehicle) or £7,200 per annum (Electric / PHEV vehicle)
- Annual Discretionary bonus capped at 15% of salary linked to Group performance (75%) and personal performance (25%) in a financial year running from 1st October to 30th September. All bonus payments are at the discretion of the Plc Board. (after probation has been successfully passed)
- Pension: Matched 5% contribution (after probation has been successfully passed)

- Life Insurance: 3 x Annual Salary.
- Annual Leave: 25 days per annum plus 8 bank holidays. After 2 years continuous service, you will receive 1 additional day per year, to a maximum of 29 days.
