Penguin Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a thriving independent Town Planning Consultancy with offices in the South East & Midlands on the hire of a Senior Planner (or Principal Planner).
Our client works with land and property owners, developers and investors on a wide range of projects. In this role you can expect access to schemes in the following sectors: Residential, Commercial, Green Belt, Education, Change of Use, Caravan Sites and more!
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on projects and deliver a high-quality service to clients.
- Demonstrate excellent report writing skills, with limited input from Directors and Ads.
- Coach, motivate and support junior members of the team.
- Work in a smart and commercially minded way - have a healthy work/life balance.
- Provide clear and succinct planning advice.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with clients, project teams and colleagues.
- Demonstrate excellent organisational skills and time management, including meeting deadlines, managing workload independently and monitoring project milestones.
- Work with our Marketing & Communications Associate to promote the business.
In this role you will be expected to;
- Act decisively.
- Show initiative and commercial awareness.
- Demonstrate drive, adaptability and perseverance.
- You'll have experience of preparing or processing major applications.
- You'll have appeal experience.
- Experience of the Plan-making process would be advantageous but not essential.
- Driving license and access to a vehicle needed.
- MRTPI, or working towards it.
