We have an exciting opportunity for a recent or established planning graduate to join us as a Planning Officer! 

This is a full-time permanent role with hybrid working, and a salary of £27,372.00 - £31,169.00 per annum (with the possibility to reach up to £35,719.00 per annum if significant experience can be demonstrated).

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic planning officer to join our development management team.

The Role: 

The planning officer would deal with a wide range of householder and small minor applications and certificates; providing advice and answering enquiries; and dealing with planning appeals under written representations. You may also be asked to help more senior officers with larger and more complex applications and condition discharges. 

Your role will involve: 

  • Processing householder and small minor planning applications and certificates.
  • Providing pre-application advice to customers.
  • Defending decisions at planning appeal under the written representation process.

We are looking for:

  • A strong communicator, with excellent customer care.
  • An efficient person who can manage a varied case load.
  • Good report writing skills.
