Osborne Richardson is delighted to be working with this market-leading independent planning consultancy, who are looking for a new Head of Renewables Planning for their team. The successful candidate will be experienced, capable and passionate about planning.

The company

They are a big part of the property sector and were one of the 10 fastest growing Planning Consultancies in the UK in 2023. Their clients include major house builders, leisure organisations, developers, housing associations, private investors and more.

The role specifics

This is a newly created Planning leadership role, as part of the company’s town planning consultancy business will provide services to support and advise on renewable planning strategy and major renewable infrastructure applications.

In this role you’ll be responsible for leading and developing the Renewables Planning team, providing professional guidance to a range of clients (public, private and private developers/landowners). You must take responsibility for the efficient delivery of key areas of the service across the department, working alongside other company departments, especially the Energy & Renewables team. Regular contact must be maintained with key members of these other teams you work with.

Targeting new prospects for growth within the business is a key part of this role, implementing the business development plan and leading promotion for the Renewables Planning team.

Role requirements

All applicants must have a degree in a planning or renewables related field and be MRTPI qualified. You will also need experience working in Senior leadership and management, with current experience in a Director or Renewables Planning role.

Experience in developing new business is key for this position, as is knowledge of NSIPs (Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects). You must also have IT proficiency, especially in the Office applications.

A full UK driving licence is required for this role.

Reward

You’ll be offered a salary ranging between £95,000 - £115,000 per annum for this role, depending on your experience and qualifications. This is an excellent opportunity for career progression and you will also receive contributory pension, plus full flexible benefits.
