Are you an experienced and dynamic Town Planner seeking a new and exciting opportunity to further your career? Carrington West are working with a leading private consultancy in West Sussex who are searching for a talented Senior Town Planner to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
 
Key Responsibilities: As a Senior Town Planner, your responsibilities will include:
 
·Assembly and submission of planning applications, appeals, and other relevant consents.
·- Research into relevant planning policy and specific legislation applicable to a particular planning matter, in order to be able to provide client advice on planning requirements.
·- Assistance with management of projects on behalf of clients, assimilation of team and delegation of work to team members.
·- Assistance with client caseload of work, direct client contact and day to day liaison.
·- Assisting the Directors with work winning activities and client/referrer networking.
·- Co-ordinating and drafting planning appraisals, planning statements, appeal statements, statements of community involvement and other relevant planning reports or documentation.
· Assist in negotiations with local authorities, other statutory bodies and third parties, to reach agreement on planning matters.
 
Qualifications and Experience: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:
 
·3-5 years of proven experience in town planning.
·Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is desirable.
·Strong knowledge of planning legislation, policies, and procedures.
·Excellent project management and communication skills.
·Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when necessary.
·A track record of successfully delivering planning projects.
