Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a large and leading Real Estate Consultancy in Central London with the hire of an Associate Director of Planning. Join a national planning team with over 100 Planners based out of offices across the UK!
Our client is known for their ability to make development ambitions happen and the purpose of the Planning team is to create economic, social, and environmental value for their clients and the communities in which they work and live. The company has a good track record in delivering planning permissions, which range from complex city-centre schemes to strategic greenfield development.
Our client works with a wide range of clients on an exciting variety of projects that fall into multiple sectors such as; arts and culture, energy, minerals and waste, healthcare, hotels, housing, industrial, leisure, life science, office, retail, telecoms and public sector.
In this role you will help lead the team to prepare/negotiate planning applications, alongside undertaking planning appraisals; providing planning strategy advice; promoting sites through the development plan system; and acting as expert witness. The team also completes retail planning, environmental planning and planning policy work. At this level there will be a responsibility to support junior and senior members of the team and help to generate fees to grow the bottom line.
Candidates applying should hold appropriate qualifications and experience commensurate to the level of the role. Due to the nature of the role, you should be a strong leader, communicator, mentor, business winner and strategic thinker. A client following is advantageous but not essential.
