Job reference: PPPL0159

Location: Based in Weston-Super-Mare

Hours: 37 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

We are looking for an enthusiastic and versatile planner who can help us handle a range of major planning applications, appeals and other case work across North Somerset.

You would be part of a busy, team working on a variety of cases and, subject to experience, may be required to help with the management of that team. The role involves balancing significant development pressures in a constrained area which includes Green Belt, AONB, extensive areas vulnerable to flooding and other sensitive environments.

Our challenges are wide ranging and as a result there will be plenty of opportunity to develop your experience and skills. Ideally you should hold a degree in Town and Country Planning or equivalent and be eligible for membership of the RTPI with a good understanding of the planning application and appeal process.

This is a career graded post, and we can offer a range of other benefits including flexible working hours and a friendly and supportive team. Starting salary will depend on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.

For an informal discussion call Roger Willmot, Strategic Development Manager on 01934 426 190.
