TOWN PLANNER
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity with one of our most esteemed clients in central London!
My client is an award-winning planning consultancy that is looking to further expand their successful London Planning team with the addition of an ambitious and driven Town Planner.
The current Planning, Development, Residential and Commercial market teams work closely and collaboratively on a strong pipeline of projects, with a particular focus on the commercial, infrastructure, residential and education sectors.
Duties of the role will include…
- Managing your own workload
- Undertaking planning research and enquiries
- Monitoring and reviewing development plans and preparing representations
- Drafting reports and planning applications
- Assisting the coordination of project teams
- Liaising with local authorities
We are seeking applications from candidates with an RTPI/RICS accredited academic qualification, ideally with 1+ years previous experience in private sector consultancy, however public sector candidates are also encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
- Strong verbal, numerical and report writing skills
- Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
- Clear ability to communicate effectively
- A team player
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- An open and keen mind with a strategic approach to problem solving
