Principal Policy Officer

A Hertfordshire based Local Planning Authority has an urgent requirement for a Principal Policy Officer, for a 6 month rolling contract. The role will offer a hybrid working model, with 3 days in the office and 2 days at home, and position is paying between £50-£55 an hour.
 
In this post, you will be lead planner in contributing to the delivery of an efficient and effective Planning Strategy, including engagement with developers and other key bodies in the delivery of quality developments, strategic sites and a robust planning policy framework. Ideally the applicant will have Development Management experience, although this is no essential.
 
The successful candidate will be expected to lead on a range of Planning Strategy tasks, including the identification and selection strategic sites allocated within Local Plans and the preparation of associated masterplans and site-specific planning briefs. 

In addition, you must have a degree in Town & Country Planning or an affiliated subject with good communication and report writing skills.
