We are looking for an enthusiastic and capable individual to gain hands on experience of Development Management work in a supportive Local Authority environment.  The role will provide opportunities for progression and the successful candidate will be supported and guided by our experienced team of planners. Our aim is to provide you with opportunities to expand your knowledge & experience of planning through training, shadowing and coaching. Ultimately we would be looking for this role to gain sufficient experience to be able to advance to a successful RTPI chartered application. We are committed to providing our officers with opportunities to expand their knowledge and provide CPD opportunities wherever we can. You will be an essential member of a highly performing and experienced DM team, involved in the processing of planning applications and other submissions, providing advice to elected Members and members of the public, providing technical assistance to planning officers and assisting in the preparation of publications and display material.  Knowledge of ICT and proven verbal, written and presentation skills are required.

For this post a planning related or other relevant degree qualification is required.
