Senior Environmental Planner - Newcastle

Salary: Negotiable depending on skills and experience
Our client, a growing multidisciplinary environmental and planning consultancy is urgently looking to appoint a Senior Environmental Planner to join their team in Newcastle. The company hold an excellent reputation in the market and have been shortlisted for numerous planning and environmental awards.
The successful candidate will have:
- Demonstrable planning experience, preferably within a consultancy environment
- Chartered status with the RTPI or will be working towards this
- Demonstrable project management experience
- Previous experience in the coordination of EIA's
- An in depth knowledge of the technical aspects of EIA disciplines
- A proven ability to write professional reports
Within the role the successful Environmental Planner will be:
- Coordinating planning applications for a range of client projects within the renewables sector including solar, wind energy storage and hydro developments
- Coordinating EIA projects
- Managing projects and sub-consultants
- Developing new business opportunities and preparing tenders
- Liaising with clients
