Your next role
We are looking to appoint a qualified (eligibility or membership of the RTPI) and highly motivated individual with proven experience in planning policy development and the preparation of Local Plans at a senior level. You will be confident in collaborating to achieve results, in defending planning policy decisions at appeal and in presenting to Councillors and members of the public.
The role requires you to lead on all aspects of the Swindon Borough Local Plan and in providing planning policy advice and guidance on major planning applications and leading on developer negotiations.
Candidates must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act – for the effective performance of a customer-facing role).
