West Northamptonshire Council is a new Unitary Authority covering the areas of Northampton, Towcester, Brackley and Daventry. As a brand new authority we can shape our journey and destination.

"This is an exciting time to be joining the new West Northamptonshire Council. With our growing agenda of new development and major economic investment, we have ambitions at City scale. The Planning service is coming together under new leadership to provide a confident and current service using the latest technology. We're working together to build a new and different culture of excellent and flexible service delivery for our community and we're looking for people to join us who can help us to build and shape our vision." Colin Walker, Assistant Director Planning.

The area is facing a high level of growth and planning is at the heart of the Council's vision to build on the existing qualities of the area to make West Northants a great place to live, work, visit and thrive. The District offers an exciting mixture of urban and rural planning, with growing town centres where there are exciting regeneration projects taking place and tranquil rural areas comprising a wide range of historic buildings and conservation areas. The Council area includes Silverstone Circuit and Park, which is part of Motorsport Valley and home of the F1 British Grand Prix and is also part of the Golden Triangle of Logistics with two Rail Freight Interchanges.
