As a Principal Planning Officer in Development Management you will play a leading role in determining the Council's major planning applications and helping to meet our objectives of encouraging sustainable and well-designed development within Cheshire East.

We are looking for a professional team player with the skills and experience to successfully manage major planning applications and to mentor planning officers within your team. A generous market supplement plus benefits, parking permit, and professional fees subscription are provided in addition to basic salary. You will be confident and experienced in negotiating with developers at pre-application stage, presenting to Planning Committee and defending cases at Appeal. Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
