Development Planning Assistant

Role: Development Assistant (Planning)
Salary: £25,000 to £30,000~
Location: Oxfordshire

Our client is looking for a Development (Planning) Assistant who is an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, with an interest in pursuing a career within the property sector to join their small, but busy development team. They will be work closely with the Development Team to ensure that the planning and design goals of their developments are successfully achieved, as well assisting the Development Team in securing consent for future development and long term development strategies.

The Development Team is responsible for land identification including assessments of suitability and appraisals, overseeing the development of sites from high level strategy and masterplanning, through preparation of planning applications for residential, commercial, and social infrastructure projects, to the discharge of planning conditions post planning. The Development Assistant will have the opportunity to gain experience in all areas of the Development Team’s work.

The successful candidate will be:
A recent graduate, holding a degree at 2:1 Level (or relevant experience in the property sector)
Self-motivated, possessing the ability to work and manage their own time independently
Ambitious, determined and confident, with the ability to take responsibility for work streams
An effective communicator and team member with strong presentation skills
Flexible, resilient and adaptable to the requirements of a fast paced environment
Accurate and process driven, with an eye for detail
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and all other Microsoft Office Programmes
Willing to learn with a genuine interest in developing a career within the property sector
