Senior Town Planner
Preston
c£40,000pa +
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Town Planner in the North-West!
My client is a specialist Town Planning Consultancy that is based out of the North-West, but with a national client portfolio, and specialise in Residential, Commercial and industrial, energy, and sports & leisure sectors.
The dedicated team of 20 consultants are known for taking a pragmatic and proactive approach to produce high-quality, professional planning advise.
Duties of the role
- Development appraisals to help clients understand the potential for development.
- Planning strategies, devising a successful route through the planning system.
- Pre-application advice, working with local authorities to understand opportunities and limitations.
- Managing and co-ordination the whole application process.
- Public consultations, working with stakeholders and consultees to inform better planning.
- Planning appeals and inquiries, contesting planning decisions to get the right result.
- Development plan representations, helping to inform local planning policy and the development plan process.
- Environmental Impact Assessments, understanding and mitigating environmental risks posed by development.
Candidate Requirements
We are seeking applications from candidate who are MRTPI Chartered or currently working towards chartership and have demonstratable previous experience (circa 3+ years) ideally within private sector consultancy however those with extensive experience in ether the private or public sector are encouraged to apply.
