Exciting career opportunities for creative and visionary planners
The Welsh Government requires creative and visionary planners to deliver an Infrastructure Consenting Bill and Planning Consolidation Bill. These landmark Bills will modernise the consenting of large infrastructure projects in Wales to helping to respond to the climate and nature emergencies, deliver Future Wales – the National Plan 2040, and simplify planning law in order to deliver a more efficient and effecting planning system.
We are looking for experienced highly motivated planners to join us as Planning Bill Managers to develop, deliver and implement these Bills. The roles, which are at the heart of the Bill teams, provide an opportunity to shape a new infrastructure consenting regime for Wales and simplify and consolidate planning law for the benefit of everyone who uses the planning system. You will also gain experience of other work areas, including working on the largest and most complex planning applications in Wales. You will gain experience of working with Ministers, senior Welsh Government officials and other UK Administrations, as well as engaging with a wide range of external partners including business and local government.
