Development Management Case Officer (P02121)
Location: Appletree Court, Lyndhurst and flexible hybrid working
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: Scale 4/5 – (£21,993 up to £27,346 per annum) + essential car user allowance £1239 per annum (£103.25 per month).
Starting salary will reflect level of previous experience and qualifications.
Interview date: WC 20th June 2022.
This role provides an opportunity to either start a career within Planning or develop your existing skills. You will enjoy the challenge of working within a good spirited, high performing, bustling team, handling a varied case load of planning applications, enquiries and related matters.
Your responsibilities will include visiting sites, assessing planning proposals against council policy and planning legislation and presenting your own planning applications to the Planning Committee.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are vital for this role as providing clear, reasoned and robust advice is a fundamental part of the role. You will also need to possess strong analytical and judgment skills in order to interpret information, data and plans.
It is desirable, but not essential, for the successful candidate to have a recognised degree level qualification in planning or a related subject - or have experience of working within a planning office environment. However, we would also like to hear from you if you meet the essential criteria of the role and consider that you have the aptitude, approach and attitude that would enable you to flourish within our planning service.
For the right candidate who can demonstrate aptitude and enthusiasm for the role we could offer training for a planning or post graduate qualification.
