About the Job

This challenging and hugely rewarding opportunity will see you lead a small but dedicated team of officers in our DM Service. As one of our Principal Officers, you’ll be responsible for managing a caseload of major and complex planning applications, as well as exercising delegated authority to make decisions on a range of applications.

Significant development management experience, including involvement in the full range of planning appeals, will also help you to thrive in this position.

Excellent communication skills are also essential, as you’ll be expected to hold meetings with customers and council members to provide advice, guidance, and feedback on planning and related matters.
