Planning Officer

An outstanding opportunity for a Planning Officer at a busy London Borough Council which is widely regarded as a major hotspot for residential and commercial development.

This will be a diverse caseload consisting of residential, commercial, change of use, mixed use, listed building consents and permitted development in urban and Greenbelt areas.
Responsibilities;

• Manage and process a mixed caseload of minor to complex medium applications
• Draft committee detailed reports
• Negotiate the discharge of conditions and reserved matters
• Undertake pre-application meetings
• Issue and Certificates of Lawful Development
• Duty Planning
• Undertake pre-application meetings

Successful candidates will have a degree in Town & Country planning or an affiliated subject with practical experience as a Planning Officer in Development Management Officer in the UK or overseas.

You will have an aptitude for processing a mixed caseload of minor to medium applications with good communication and report writing skills.
