About the job

This is an exciting time for Newcastle-under-Lyme as we roll out ambitious plans for growth. We have already embarked on a new Local Plan and a range of initiatives to further enhance our Borough. These roles are an opportunity to be involved in a varied workload delivering the Local Plan and supporting our growing number of Neighbourhood Plans.

Are you interested in:

  • Playing a key role in delivering an ambitious development plan programme?
  • Working in a recently enhanced team, where you will have the opportunity to work on a range of topics spanning urban and rural issues to develop your planning knowledge and experience?
  • Working for an authority committed to your training, development and growth?

We are ideally looking for someone with a policy interest or background, and would also welcome applications from recent graduates. If you are not already a chartered member of the RTPI we will support you to achieve this and reward you with progression to the higher pay grade. If you are looking to take the next step in your career and are eager to play a key role in influencing the future planning of the Borough we would love to hear from you.
