Job title: Town Planner/Senior Planner
Location: Sevenoaks
Salary: Competitive
A fantastic opportunity has opened for a Planner or Senior Planner with an well established Planning Consultancies in the UK. I'm looking to speak with candidates based in the Sevenoaks and Guildford region.
The team undertakes a wide range of work promoting strategic land, housebuilder proposals, landowner promotions, appeals, planning appraisals, regeneration and rural work.
Team Overview
The South East Planning Team is a friendly team of 16 with a good split of grades from Directors to Graduates split across the Brighton, Guildford and Sevenoaks offices.
Key Responsibilities Of The Role
- Providing planning consultancy advice to colleagues and clients
- Reporting to clients and senior colleagues and keeping in regular contact
- Attend and report to clients at regular project meetings
- Be capable of striving to win some further work for the department (though the primary role is to process existing and new planning work)
- Be capable of dealing with instructions and clients alone after an introductory period
- Strive to become a single point of contact for clients
- Production of reports to support planning applications and appeals
- Production of planning appraisals
- Support Team and colleagues with CPD
Skills, Knowledge And Experience
- Strong verbal, numerical and report writing skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills
- A team player with leadership potential
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
- MRICS / MRTPI qualified (or en-route to qualification, with an accredited Diploma / Masters)
- Practical understanding of Property
- Experience in a similar role (preferably 2-5 years planning experience in either public or private sector)
- Strategic approach to problem solving
- Full driving license and access to your own car for day to day business requirements
