We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with a strong work ethic and excellent communication and technical skills who wants to progress their career in the area of Planning Policy and help us to deliver a high quality service
The purpose of the job is to provide technical and administrative support to the Planning Policy and Environment Team including the development, maintenance and monitoring of land use planning, GIS data and associated storage systems; and the production of digital mapping to support the Council’s Local Plan. A sound working knowledge of desktop GIS software and digital data management is therefore essential.

To be shortlisted for interview you must possess:
- HND/HNC in a related subject (e.g. Land Administration, Estates, Planning, GIS, Cartography, Information Design and Data Visualisation.
- ‘A’ level (or equivalent) qualification in a related discipline (Geography, Maths, Computer Science, Art and Design, Design and Technology or Information Technology).
- Formal GIS qualification/ training (or equivalent experience) e.g. advanced level user training for ArcGIS
