Facility Management Engineer - Office-based role
Area: Wokingham
Salary: Competitive

Our Client offers a wide range of services to help companies improve the design, build and operation of buildings. With over 60 years of specialist HVAC consultancy and product test experience.
The role of Facility Management Engineer within the Research, Investigations & Test department will support a wide range of technical consultancy and support services to our Clients members, specialising in Facilities Management.
Employment Specifics:
- Type: Full Time. Permanent
- Competitive Salary Base
- Benefits: Pension Scheme, Life Assurance - 4 times annual gross reference salary (after confirmation), 26 Annual Holidays (pro-rata) and additional Bank Holidays etc.
- Working pattern is 37 hours per week, Mon - Thursday 8.30am-5pm and on Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
Skills and Knowledge:
- BTEC National Diploma or equivalent
- Building construction knowledge
- Flexible approach
- Work well with team
- A positively outlook with confidence and enthusiasm
- Excellent communication skills especially dealing with clients
- High levels of report writing skills
- Time management skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Written and spoke English - good level
- Complete tasks and keen to take on new challenges
Main duties of Facility Management Engineer will be as the following:
- Support development of facilities management strategies and forward maintenance planning advice
- Under supervision, undertake assigned investigations into incorrectly performing assets
- Support best practice in maintenance operations, maintenance strategies, schedules and audits
- Under supervision, undertake benchmarking activities for buildings (operation, maintenance and energy)
- Undertake site visits for bespoke site-based work
- Support development of proposals to meet client needs or research objectives
- Seek and promote opportunities for new work
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role
- Review of project data and provision of findings in reports under supervision
- Contribute to content of publications and training
