Norwich City Council has one of the highest performing Planning services in the country and we now have an exciting opportunity to join the development management service. The City is a thriving and dynamic place to both live and work and offers a real range of planning challenges as we prepare for very significant levels of growth within the context of a historic city with a legacy of fine buildings and 17 conservation areas.

An opportunity has arisen to join the development management team in a career grade planner post with the prospect to study for a postgraduate degree and progress through the Grades on your route to chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). There may also be scope for working in our planning policy team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about gaining experience of urban planning and passionate about making Norwich an even better place to live and work.

Applicants interested in working part-time hours are welcomed. If you have any queries about the post please get in touch with Lara Emerson, Planning Team Leader on 01603 989351 or laraemerson@norwich.gov.uk.

Interviews will include a task and will take place in person or via video conferencing on 2nd February 2022.
