Planning and Development

Grade I: £40,683.00 - £45,401.00 per annum (pro rata)

37 hours per week, permanent (part time applications welcome)

The Job:

Cherwell has attractive countryside lying at the northern edge of the Cotswolds. Its ironstone and limestone villages, many listed buildings and conservation areas ensure a wide variety of case work.

The Person:

Delivering high-quality development starts with securing high-quality people. If you are an enthusiastic and ambitious Planner, passionate about delivering well-planned sustainable communities, you could be what we’re looking for to lead on the most complex and controversial applications related to the strategic delivery sites within in District. Candidates will need to be pro-active, delivery focused, innovative and adept in group working and problem solving. You will project manage the most significant development proposals, including those of a corporate priority, and report back to senior management and Council committees as necessary. Recognising the needs of our customers, we want individuals who embody our ambitions for a high quality, efficient and value for money development management service. To aid this, you will also assist in supervising, leading, motivating, managing and developing staff.
