Interim Major Projects Planning Officer

I am working with a busy Local Authority situated in a beautiful part of Central England who are looking to welcome an Interim Principal Planner to their Major Projects team for an initial 6 month period.

The authority are in need of an experienced and capable Officer to oversee applications consisting solely of a complex and large scale nature. Types of applications will range from Greenbelt, to Residential sites.

More specifically- the applications will often involve hundreds and thousands or houses and tens and hundreds of thousands of square metres of commercial floorspace developments at and near to our largest towns and villages and along the strategic highway networks of the authority's territory.

As well as processing these applications, you will be required to represent the Local Authority at Planning Committee and be able to capably offer expert advice to all third parties involved in the Process (for example Applicants, Councillors, the Public).

Given the need for experience, the authority have left the rate open at this stage, but it will greatly depend on experience.
