My client is seeking a Chartered Town Planner to join their busy and dynamic team to help shape the future of the built environment! You'll be part of a large, friendly team with an outstanding track record in development management, planning policy and consultancy services.
This is an unrivalled opportunity to be involved in a wide range of work, where you'll be supported in career development, as well as mentored through to RTPI Chartership.
My client's specialist Planning team provides expert guidance and support across all areas of planning. The UK-wide planning team provides a comprehensive array of services that include environmental planning, strategic development, and site promotion.
The team have a diverse portfolio of projects from small scale through to major town centre projects, urban extensions and tall buildings, and provide these services for developers, investors, housing associations and public sector agencies.
Duties of the role:
- Processing mainly minor and small-scale planning applications concisely, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Preparing and presenting evidence on appeals.
- Providing high quality professional advice on planning matters to clients.
- Negotiate with applicants and agents.
- Positively support and share your knowledge with the team.
Candidate Requirements:
- Eligibility for RTPI chartership.
- Relevant experience working as a public or private sector planner/senior planning officer or consultant.
- The ability to manage your own time and meet challenging deadlines.
- Excellent knowledge, understanding and application of current and emerging planning legislation.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build good client relationships.
