Temporary position until March 2026
Formed in April 2019, BCP Council is the tenth-largest urban local authority in England and we have a globally recognised coastline of opportunity, with bold, confident and proud aspirations set out in our Big Plan. Having recently been awarded a £22million ‘Town Deal’ through the government’s Towns Fund programme, funding will be used to unlock a number of significant regeneration schemes in the Boscombe area of Bournemouth, supporting job creation, skills and training, public realm improvements, new homes, a community centre and digital connectivity.
We are now looking for an experienced project management professional to join BCP Council’s Towns Fund Programme Management team to work with the Programme Manager to develop and deliver the ten Towns Fund projects in accordance with the Bournemouth Town Investment Plan. Ideally you will have experience of working in urban regeneration and the built environment and/ or culture and heritage.
The role requires supporting business case preparation, developing projects and working with delivery partners to implement the projects by March 2026. You will be effective at consulting and engaging with delivery partners, local traders and residents.
You will be an important part of our small and responsive Towns Fund programme management team (which also includes the Programme Manager, Programme monitoring officer, Programme Engagement Officer and Programme Communications Officer) with offices in Boscombe and Bournemouth and will have an interest in regeneration.
