Salary range: £22,524 - £42,029 per annum, depending on experience

This is an exciting opportunity to join Bromley’s busy planning department in one of our Development Management Area Teams.

Bromley is the largest London Borough by area and is diverse in character, ranging from urban development in the north of the Borough to large areas of Green Belt to the south.   The Council is implementing its Local Plan following adoption in January 2019 but faces ongoing challenges and development pressures including London wide housing requirements.

We are looking for a highly organised, self-motivated individual who is able to demonstrate experience of dealing with planning applications, preferably in a Local Authority environment.  The successful candidate will have the opportunity to deal with a caseload of varied and challenging planning applications and pre-application enquiries, including residential, commercial and mixed-use development proposals.

For an informal discussion on this post, please contact Jake Hamilton, Head of Development Management, on 020 8313 4802 (email jake.hamilton@bromley.gov.uk) or Andy Lambert, Development Management Area Team Leader on 020 8313 4883 (email andy.lambert@bromley.gov.uk)

Closing date for applications is 5th December 2021.

We are committed to achieving equal opportunities in employment and service delivery.

We offer a generous package including competitive pay, local government pension scheme, flexible working practices and the Bromley Employee benefits scheme; Cycle2Work, Salary Sacrifice Lease Cars, Technology Scheme and a wide range of unique discounts.
