An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Planning Policy Officer to drive forward the review of the Gloucester, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury Joint Core Strategy together with developing Supplementary Planning Documents to support key policy outcomes for the borough including helping to drive the thinking around the future of the High Street.

About the role…
We are looking for a self starter to work as part of a wider team and alongside internal and external stakeholders.  You will develop complex proposals and find creative solutions to provide a forward thinking planning service.

Working with the Head of Planning you will be focused on delivering high performance within the development management service, including continuous improvements and efficiencies.  

You will be instrumental in ensuring a new engagement platform works effectively across planning and policy outcomes.

To be successful you will need…

•    Degree in Town and Country Planning (or related subject)
•    A chartered member, or eligible for membership of the RTPI.
•    Experience working within a planning policy or wider Development Management environment. 
•    Experience of presenting to third parties.
•    Experience of planning appeal process.
