Job Details

I'm working on behalf of a Local Authority based in Hampshire on an an extremely exciting position, for a Principal Planning Officer to join the team for an initial 4 month period to initially see through two Major Applications through their entire process.

The applications the Council need assistance with are significant both in size and complexity, so my client requires somebody with substantial experience at Senior/Principal DM level.

Both applications are over 300 Units and consist of numerous Development Management concerns, including Residential, Commercial Space, Open Space, Parking, and Community Buildings.

Due to the sheer complexity and size of work, the Authority have insisted any prospective candidates have at least 5 years experience in Planning, be a member of the RTPI and have experience at handling applications of over 250 Units.

Furthermore, it is paramount that you be confident in presenting at Committee and have a proactive approach when dealing with Developers, Council Members, and other parties.

The hourly rate for the position is open at this stage but will likely be around £45p/hr.

This is a rare opportunity to  deal with the more complex facets of Local Authority Planning, so if you wanted to know more please do not hesitate to give me a call on 07545079629 or email me at
