Beach Baker have been instructed by a leading national firm to recruit an MRTPI Planner or Senior Planner for their growing team in central London. Planning is one of this firm's core specialisms and they have won a number of industry awards for their work (including strategic and regeneration schemes) across the UK. The office is based in London’s West End and you would be joining a friendly and sociable team, who regularly partake in team activities / after work drinks etc. 

The planning team work on projects in central London and the wider South East; they have an impressive portfolio of clients, including commercial developers, wealthy landowners and property developers, funds and investors, as well as public-sector organisations. If you want lots of variety, this position will offer the opportunity to work on small, medium and large projects in a range of sectors, including residential, mixed-use, commercial, listed-buildings, heritage and office/tall building schemes. 

The role:

Your role will include feasibility and appraisal work, preparing and submitting planning applications, providing bespoke advice to the firm’s client base, maintaining existing and enhancing client relationships, cross-selling other departments, coordinating other professional input to projects where needed and building upon your project management experience. You should have strong report writing, communication and presentation skills, be client facing and enjoy networking situations.

The candidate:

- You will ideally be MRTPI qualified

- Ideally consultancy/client-side experience

- Solid DM/application-based experience

- Professional demeanour with excellent communication and report-writing skills
