Job Details
Job Title: Senior Transport Planner
Office Location: Cardiff
Salary Range: £30,000 - £40,000
Our client is looking to fill the role of Senior Transport Planner at their Cardiff office.
If you're a transport planner who is ambitious to make your mark by helping develop transport projects in Wales, read on.
You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of transport studies and schemes across the region.
If you have the ability to think in a problem solving and multi-disciplinary way and are interested in analysing transport issues, understanding policy and helping to develop transport strategies and schemes through effective engagement with stakeholders, this is the role for you.
Having experience in a consultancy and being proficient in travel plans and transport assesments is essential.
Essential Criteria:
- Coordinating site surveys, data analysis and baseline reviews
- Leading on transport assessments and travel plans for a wide range of developments
- Contributing to strategies and studies relating to active travel, public transport and highways
- Providing transport inputs to multi-disciplinary masterplans and environmental assessments
- Leading meetings with clients and stakeholders as well as working with other disciplines and consultants on projects
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Geography, Planning or related subject (Masters' Degree in Transport Planning desirable)
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
- Travel Flexibility
As well as a starting salary of at least £30,000 you will be part of a professional body and have an employer contribution pension scheme, flexible working and a flexible holiday scheme.
