We are seeking a Planning Officer to work within our Development Management Section.

Your role will be to process and make recommendations on planning applications and give advice on associated planning matters.

You will have sound knowledge of planning policy and legislation and be a confident and self-motivated professional with excellent communication skills.

You will be responsible for carrying out site inspections providing planning advice to the public and writing reports and presenting to planning committee as well as representing the Council at informal hearings, public Inquiries and court proceedings when necessary.

You will also be a key player in delivering a proactive planning service in the district.
