We are looking to recruit a new Senior Neighbourhood Planning Officer to the Planning Policy Team in the Planning and Environment Directorate. The post holder will contribute to the on-going programme of new and reviewed neighbourhood plans to help to shape the future sustainable growth of this economically buoyant and environmentally sensitive area. Experience of neighbourhood planning and community engagement will be required and the role will involve advice on the evidence base, drafting policies and regulatory compliance. The Council has a significant programme of neighbourhood plan production to assist with the allocation of sufficient land to meet the need for development identified in the emerging Local Plan Review. The post may also provide opportunities for wider planning policy work to support the local plan review.
The vacancy is full time. However, applicants from those seeking a part time role will also be considered.
Closing date: 8 November 2021
Interviews are likely to take place w/c 15 November 2021.
