Planning Policy Manager

Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in London in their search for a Planning Policy Manager. This will be offered on an initial 6-month contract, then rolling.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Planner with recent and relevant Planning Policy experience. You should have experience working within a London Authority Town Planning department at a Senior/Management level. This role will provide leadership to the Planning policy function of the council and, through the development and adoption of a new Local Plan, support the council's wider corporate aims as set out in the Corporate Plan.
 
Key activities include:
·To project manage all workstreams associated with the preparation of the Local Plan.
·Undertake consultation with the public, specialists and amenity groups.
·To oversee the survey and analysis of data, especially concerned with monitoring of development, land use and planning permissions.
·Contributions to topic papers, planning briefs and other material required as part of corporate policy development.
·To produce, and oversee the production by others, reports and advice for the Council, including environmental and sustainability assessments and appraisals.

In order to successfully deliver the responsibilities of the role, you will need to have a relevant degree level qualifications in Town Planning (or related built environment discipline) and hold chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), or be able to demonstrate suitable post qualification experience to meet the eligibility requirements for chartered membership.
 

Carrington West Pay Rate - £430 to £480p/day (DOE)
