Regeneration Officer

Our client is a local authority in East London and they require a Regeneration Project Officer to join them for a contract role and assist them with the delivery of a Regeneration focused programme of work. You will take the lead on the delivery of a number of our clients regeneration projects and actively contribute to the development and implementation of regeneration policies as necessary to improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the borough.

Specifically you will lead on the delivery of the projects within our clients Regeneration Strategic Regeneration Framework Delivery Plan, working to one of the four Area Regeneration Managers. You will be responsible for establishing, leading and/or working in multi-disciplinary teams tasked with the delivery of complex regeneration projects and take responsibility for the organisation, coordination, supervision and reporting of projects to deliver successful results on time, within budget and to agreed outputs and outcomes.

You will also monitor, review and manage the implementation of projects, including the financial management of both internal and external resources.

For this role you will be required to manage a large and demanding workload and applicants for this post should be degree educated in either Surveying or Planning. You must have proven experience in project managing the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects and of providing specialist advice to a range of parties. You will need experience of working within a politically driven organisation and you will have a strong knowledge of legislation and regulations pertaining to Regeneration. A Project Management qualification would be beneficial.

The contract is initially being offered for a 3 month period with a pay rate of £26/hr umbrella (This role is inside IR35).
