Our client based in the South East of England requires a degree qualified Town Planner to carry out a role within their Policy Team. They require a candidate with significant Local Plan experience within a local authority setting.
Working in a busy department, you will assist in the preparation and implementation of the Local Plan and related planning policy work streams. You will be expected to take responsibility for specific policy areas, including monitoring, review and research. You will be responsible for leading on core areas of policy formulation, including the commissioning evidence and drafting policies. You will work with colleagues and stakeholders to build consensus on key policy issues and prepare documents for consultation and submission. You will also provide policy support on a wide range of strategic planning applications.
This role would suit a planning policy professional with substantial knowledge and experience. You will take a leading part in the Planning Policy Team, providing professional advice, working on our clients Local Plan evidence base and other supporting documents.
This role will be offered for an initial 3 month period but could potentially be extended beyond this. The rate offered is £40/hr and this role is inside IR35. Our client is open to receiving applications from candidate who would need to work fully remotely.
