Job Details
I am currently working on a Senior Planning Officer role with a Local Authority based in the lovely area of Surrey. It would be an initial 3 month contract, with a view to roll on longer than this.
The council are looking for a planner who is MRTPI qualified to join the Development Management team and assist with mainly complex minor applications. The officer would need to be available for Planning Committee (once every 4 weeks in person in the Council Chamber). They would also provide assistance to other members of the Planning team and Validation team. It would be ideal if they have experience in an authority with Green Belt designation but not essential.
The rate is dependent on previous experience. The Council is offering complete remote working.
In terms of site visits, this would be for officers to plan, one needs to be carried out for each application before the officer puts forward their recommendation. Part time hours may be considered for this role. You will need to have a full driver's licence and access to a car for site visits.
