Due to a member of our team moving on, we have a rare opportunity to join our Development Management team at an exciting time for the National Park.

The Role

The role is full-time, permanent and based at our Bainbridge office near Leyburn.

 

You will be leading a team of planners responsible for delivering an efficient and effective development management service for the northern half of the National Park. The area includes the visually stunning Swaledale, Wensleydale and Westmorland Dales, including iconic places like Hawes and Sedbergh.

 

Responsible for conserving the special qualities of these special places whilst delivering the housing and economic development necessary to sustain thriving communities. You will be working with a dedicated and friendly team of planners being responsible for their performance and personal development as well as actively contributing to the management of the section.

About You

This will be a busy role and we are particularly looking for someone who has proven experience in the development management environment and is a member of the RTPI.

 

You will have experience of leading, managing and motivating a team of planners with excellent communication skills and an ability to prioritise your workload effectively and manage competing demands
