Job Details
Our client is a local authority in Cumbria and they have an urgent requirement for an experience Town Planner to join them for a contract role.
It is essential that you have enough competency and working knowledge of UK planning legislation to be able to take on your own caseload immediately as our client will need you to work with minimal supervision. That said, they will consider applications from those at all levels provided they have recent work experience within a local authority as workload is diverse and can be tailored to match your level of ability. You will manage a large and varied caseload of minor and householder applications.
The contract will initially be offered for 6 months but could be extended due to work loads. This will be a home working role though you will need to carry out site. You will need access to your own vehicle in order to carry out site visits.
The rate will be commensurate with your level of experience but is expected to be between £25-£30/hr and this role is inside IR35. A Town Planning qualification and Local Authority planning experience are essential.
